Ladies and Gentle-Fellows, let me introduce you to a master at the art of tossing. Joff JK, the same person last week that shared the gear review on poi handles, is the star of this week’s inspirational poi video. After perusing his site, I found this promo video of his, and the tossing stuff really blew my mind. I toss from time to time, but not like this. It’s really a central part of his flow, and if any of you were looking for toss inspiration, this is it! Also included are some nice Wibbles, as well as what he calls Poiggling. Poi and Juggling combine to make a big ol’ bowl of awesome sauce. Enjoy!
Leo- Uncharted Poi
This week’s inspiration from the wide world of poi comes to us from someone I had the opportunity to meet last year at Firedrums (which by the way is going on this week, so jealous…). His name is Leonardo Icaza, and his spinning is both unique and inventive. This is his first long poi video, and it is pretty long. Luckily it’s full of awesome back-breaking poi shiz. From unthinkable body positions to awesome integration of body and isolation, if you’re looking for stuff you’ve never seen before, this video has got plenty of it. Enjoy!

This week’s poi inspiration contains some awesome tech from Noel Yee, and specifically some really sick point isolation stuff. Now this video came out a few months ago, but I have yet to see too many more people picking up on these ideas, which is frankly baffling considering the usual response from the tech poi community. So, here’s hoping that this repost will inspire other, or at the very least me to pursue this line of thought. Enjoy!

This one totally shocked me, and in large part because of how sick this guy is. Why haven’t I heard of Lindzee Poi before? Well, I’m sure a large part of that is do to the fact that he lives in France, and most likely doesn’t travel to the states very often. Regardless, I’m so glad he posted this video in one of the facebook groups. Not only is his poi work lovely, but his magnetic batons are absolutely mesmerizing. Just one more reason to stop into France if I’m ever traveling through Europe. As if Cyrille weren’t already enough….

G at SF Decompression 2009
This is a sexy little number from G way back in 2009 at San Francisco Decom. Wait a minute, did I just say “way back in 2009″? And did I just call G “sexy”? Hmmm…perhaps the computer time is really getting to me, but either way, this is some sick spinning from a couple years ago, and it’s G doing awesome plane-bending and plane-changing stuff. A really great performance. Enjoy!

MLK Day 2011
Drex is an old friend from back in my NYC days, and I am so thoroughly thrilled by this awesome flow video of his. It’s smooth, sexy and full of some awesome Tech goodness. Now I’m sure many of you have seen some of the videos from his extensive tech blog, but hopefully this will put into people’s minds the notion that tech plus flow is the shit. It’s just so clean! Well, at any rate enjoy his video made in the freezing temperatures in D.C. on MLK Day. And make sure to check out his lessons if you’re making your way to Kinetic Fire or Firedrums this year!
