So, in the spirit of the holidays  and in accordance with customs laid down by those in the Tech Poi community, I have made a christmas video! This one is specifically mini hoops, and incorporates a few new crossover concepts from poi, including a mercedes. Anywho, check it out, enjoy, and merry Techmas!

This week, I’m proud to bring you the second installment of the Gyro Tech series. Once again, there’s some awesome poi-hooping action involved, but as the title suggests, I’ve included some friends. More specifically this video focuses on partner poi-hooping with myself and our good friend Thom Thumb. From the 3 Beat Weave both forwards and backwards, to Folding, and more, we’ve begun translating what’s known in partner poi to the hooping realm. Also a clever little trick Thom though up that’s unique to hooping. Tons of fun stuff in here, plus a surprise appearance by Alien Jon at the end. Enjoy!

So, Sean and perhaps Tash are going to start making some sweet tech videos! And since we already had everything else Gyro, it only seemed appropriate to label our videos as “Gyro Tech”. No clue yet on the timeline for when the videos are going to get made or how often, but hopefully this will propel us to make a few more videos, more often. This video, our first in the series, is all about “Pooping”! That’s right baby, a whole video dedicated to some sweet tech pooping.

I’ve been working on a few new poi crossover techniques, including some hybrid combos, and a hybrid weave. Also included are stall chasers, flowers, and a little bit of snaking action. It’s only a matter of time until I can really get down a tech flow video all in one take. Soon. Soon…
