Faery Masque Ball, May 1st

Hello again. Some exciting news: The Gyronauts will be performing at the Faery Mask Ball on May 1st at The Vortex! It’s going to be a kick-ass show which is supporting a kick-ass cause! Donations are $10-$30. It is based around The Vortex’s own performance of “Sleeping Beauty”. Hence the Faery theme. And apart from out fabulous spandex tomfoolery, there will also be live ariel performances, live digital art, DJ, and our old pals Prophet Visuals are going to be supplying us with the visual love to provide an incredible VJ experience from 12-2. We will be performing at 8:30 PM, with fire from all of our friends to follow. We will also be selling our wonderful hoops and poi at the event, so if you aren’t already on the circus bandwagon, hop on board! So come out to The Vortex and support us and this wonderful venue!

Too Long!

It’s been too long. Too long. Anyway, for those of you in the Austin area, come out to see my show! The play is called “Connect” and being performed at The Off Center. Get your tickets through our Playwright, Allan Baker, at his Website or simply buy them at the door. I believe it’s $15. And the performances are on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 PM, with a matinee on Saturday at 2 PM. This is the last week of performances, so get a move on. And that makes for a nice explanation of why I’ve once again been away so long. Hopefully, once this show finished up I can get back to work on my circus life, and of course the wedding. Both of which have been on extreme hiatus. And speaking of Hiatus, does anyone know of a space where I might be able to teach my poi lessons in the Austin area? AAMP is not responding, so I can only assume their M,I.A. on the whole situation. Please feel free to comment or email me with any suggestions. Beyond that, I’ll be heading out to Firedrums at the Beginning of May, and I am looking forward to seeing all the great spinners out there. Hopefully I’ll have some good footage to share with everyone, as well as a plethora of new techniques. And who do I hope will be there to teach me?

I’ve really got my fingers crossed that Poiboy is going to be there. No word yet, but we’ll see!
